I am a violin teacher in the Dunwoody neighborhood of Atlanta, GA. I have experience teaching beginners to advanced students and I am currently accepting new students. My studies have included a modified Suzuki approach as well as elements of the Galamian, Delay, Sassmanshaus and Belknap traditions.
My primary teachers have been Eric Bates, Connie Kiradjieff, Monte Belknap, John Gilbert and Cynthia Scully. I have also studied violin or chamber music with William Grubb, Yang Liu, Moises Molina and Sally O'Reilly. My studies have been at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Western Illinois University and Texas Tech University as well as at the Bravo! Summer String Institute at the University of Minnesota. In 2000 and 2001, I participated in National Festival Orchestra concerts at Carnegie Hall under the baton of Maestro Lukas Foss. I held the Associate Principal Second Violin position with the Knox-Galesburg Symphony and the Concertmaster position with the WIU Symphony Orchestra as well as positions with the Peoria Symphony, Lubbock Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Plainview Symphony, Southeast Iowa Symphony, Kentucky Symphony, Springfield Symphony and Richmond Symphony in Indiana.
I love teaching and I hope to make the experience an enriching one for my students. Please contact me about taking lessons and have a nice day!
