Thank you for looking at my webpage. Since 1998, I teach private violin and fiddle lessons. I instruct students from beginners to advanced levels and welcome children (minimum age 4) and adults. Fall Schedule: begins the week of August 9, 2010-December 2, 2010 Opening times:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, 16 weeks-The best deal. For beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Adults welcomed. Recital opportunity.
Thursdays--12 weeks*Ideal for beginners, intermediate and advanced students whom would like fewer lessons. Children and adults welcomed. 30 minute, 45 minute and 60 minute available. Recital opportunity.
Sundays-* 8 weeks. Ideal for students with one years experience whom are playing in a group class or an orchestra and need a brush up lesson for orchestra music, church or learning a new style like bluegrass, fiddle, rock. This is geared for Adult students and Strings in Schools students. We will meet for 8 weeks between August and December. 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minutes is fine. No recital opportunity unless enrolled for a hour lesson.

What kinds of styles of music do you teach?
I teach traditional classical (musical literacy with holding the violin concurrently). I also teach the following styles of music: Bebop, Bluegrass, Blues, Cajun, Country, Flamenco, Gospel, Gypsy, Irish, Jewish, Latin, Old-Time, Rock, Scandinavian, Swing and Tango. I am the only violin teacher in the Tuscaloosa area that can offer a wide variety of violin and fiddle lessons. Students learn at their own pace with my guidance. I also offer coaching for school/youth orchestra students and for church musicians. I do not teach Suzuki violin lessons.
What are your students accomplishments (current/former)?
Bachelor of Music/Master of Music in Violin Performance at Illinois State University, Suzuki certification, Peoria Symphony Orchestra audition winner, Illinois District and Alabama All-State Orchestra (concertmaster) appointments, Illinois Christian Music Association competition and The University of Alabama Community Music School scholarship winner.
What are your professional accomplishments in music?
I have serve as the assistant concertmaster of the Ohio Light Opera. Member of Gulf Coast, Macon, and Tupelo Symphony Orchestras. I have performed with the College Light Opera Company, Greenville, Huntsville, Knoxville, Meridian, Sigmund Romberg Orchestra, Seattle, Tuscaloosa and Volgograd Philharmonic Orchestra. I have recorded ten operettas, one orchestra album and one operetta DVD with Albany Records and are sold internationally. I also perform in weddings, receptions throughout Tuscaloosa as a soloist as well as with my colleagues through Jennifer Louie, Violin and Musicians. I studied at The University of Alabama and holds degrees from Western Washington University cum laude and Illinois State University.
