Ms. Boyce has been teaching privately for 10 years, has held an assistantship to Margaret Pressley at the Indiana University’s Summer String Academy, and has been on the faculty at the Marrowstone-in-the-City Music Festival.
She uses the method taught by Dorothy Delay (teacher of Itzhak Perlman, Sarah Chang, and many others), paying close attention to form, technique, and musicality. She not only focuses on technique, but encourages her students to have fun and play from their heart. Ms. Boyce’s students have won competitions and have made it into All Northwest.
This past year Anna-Ruth soloed with the Colburn Orchestra for a series of concerts in Los Angeles, was an apprentice at the MasterWorks Music Festival, attended the Holland International Music Sessions where she gave her European debut recital, and soloed for an audience of 10,000 in Texas.
