Suzuki Violin program founded and directed by a teacher who studied with Dr. Suzuki for 3 years and graduated from the Talent Education Institute Suzuki Music School in Japan from 89'92. She also holds a BA in Music Education and training with Suzuki Association of the America's. This teacher is an Early Childhood Music Specialist who also has a background in Montessori and Kindermusik. Ms. Cynthia continues to update her training as a violin teacher with all of the resources available to her.
Offers full Suzuki program which includes private and group instruction for preschoolers through High school students, adults and parents. Specializes in PreTwinkle Violin Classes on Saturday mornings. See video on our web page.
Like Dr. Suzuki one of our main goals is to nurture a wonderful human spirit. We are very proud of our alumni for both their musical and extra musical accomplishments. TEC students participate in local performing organizations, SMAC activities, other festival events and have also been featured in the local media.
Students have access technology for recording their lessons on video. Graduations are sent in to SMAC on DVD. Ms Cynthia also does some of her own in house publishing of materials to assist her students with their studies which are exclusively available to her students.
Also very active in making contributions to non-profit arts in the community. Played leading role in the development of Santa Ana Suzuki Strings at OCCTAC, www.occtac.org an Arts non-profit in Orange County, CA. SASS is an urban Suzuki program for children at risk in Orange County, where Ms. Cynthia is the teacher and volunteers as the director. Ms. Cynthia leads by example when she asks her students to participate in Community Service.
TEC is a very diverse studio with wonderful families from many backgrounds reflecting the community that support one another. It is a wonderful home for young string students new to Irvine and surrounding areas.
