Studio Information

Private violin lessons are taught in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Sharon, a multi-faceted violinist, songwriter, arranger, and pianist, was born and raised in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. Her life focus has always been music, from her beginnings as a little girl in the church choir, to performing in her first orchestra at age eleven. Later she received formal training at Tanglewood Music Center, Encore School For Strings, and the Cleveland Institute Of Music. Today, Sharon is a freelance violinist, private teacher and professional studio musician. Recent studio recordings include being asked to record for the Fox News Channel, Toyota's television commercial, and Jack Van Impe Presents. She is a member of the Royal String Quartet, the Scandinavian String Quartet, and founder of the Oakland Academy Of Music. Sharon has also worked in the development of music programs for children in Livonia and Royal Oak Schools. "Music is therapy for me, and I'm grateful to be able to share my experience with my students."

PRIVATE VIOLIN LESSONS: Sharon is a patient teacher - encouraging, and quick to recognize talent and potential. Assignments are given according to students abilities, while emphasizing technique, tonal development, intonation and rhythm. Traditional or modified Suzuki method available: allowing students to read music their very first year! Sharon makes learning fun and non-threatening and is especially good with children. "I'm not intimidating; I don't believe in bringing a student to tears during a lesson."

TEACHER'S MAIN OBJECTIVE: My heart's goal is to bring out the full potential in each student. My desire is to train students to excel in their God-given talents by equipping them with the tools they need to embrace a life-long passion for Music. It would be my privilege to teach anyone that's willing to set aside consistent practice time.

AGES 3-103: For some people, to play the violin has been a life long dream! Anyone can learn to play, regardless of age. Have fun exploring your instrument, hearing the changes, and finding out all that you can be. Music is a wonderful tool of enjoyment and discovery.

Lesson Fee: $30.00 per half hour lesson. $40.00 for 45 minutes and $50.00 for 60 minutes.
