Monty Sandler Bloom began playing the violin at the age of four. By the age of seven, he was already playing violin concertos and was featured in his solo debut in front of an orchestra at the age of eight. He has performed as a soloist with many orchestras in the South Florida area and also continues to perform regularly as an orchestral and chamber musician. He received his musical training from the prestigious Eastman School of Music, where he served as Concertmaster of the Eastman Philharmonia. His playing is noted for its sheer virtuosity and brilliance, as well as a warm, powerful sound. He enthusiastic imparts his expertise of the violin to a diverse violin studio ranging from the ages of 5-24 (as of August 2010) and also teaches private and group violin lessons at Bethany Christian School in Fort Lauderdale.
