Studio Information

My name is Christine Stottlemyer and I am currently a student at the University of Puget Sound studying music. I have played the violin for nine years and will be in Piedmont for most of the summer. Please contact me if you would be interested in summer lessons. I work very well with younger children and have previously taught a middle school student in Colorado, as well, as tutoring many high school students when I was in high school. About a year ago, I was a part of Highlands Ranch Chamber Orchestra (audition only) in which we always played standard literature and was given the opportunity to audition and perform at Colorado Music Educator's Association conference in 2007. Currently at university level, I study with Jo Nardolillo, and will be studying next year with Maria Sampen (bios can be found at http://www.ups.edu/musicfaculty.xml). I also participate in a studio class every week, where I learn to not only take perform and process compliments and criticism from my fellow violinists, but how to critique and recognize how to perfect (or at least improve) musicality, technique and performance. I am fairly confident in my teaching ability thanks to past experience, studio, and my interest in music education as a potential major. I am offering 1/2 hour lessons for $10 and full hour lessons for $20. If you live close enough I am willing to walk, otherwise, I will be offering lessons out of where I am staying because I do not have a car. This of course is flexible if need be. Please contact me for arrangement. I'm very enthusiastic about violin and would love to share it with you. Thank you for reading!
