Now is a very good time to start Violin, Viola, or Piano Lessons because:
1. Summer is a perfect time to start the habits of lessons and practicing an instrument
by utilizing the high energy, enthusiasm, and excitement in the air at this time of the year.
2. Getting into the habit of practicing regularly every day is the hardest part of learning to play any
instrument. Setting this habit of practicing during the summer when more time is available
and there the pressure of school and homework is not around assists greatly in establishing the routine of daily practicing.
and
3. Private lessons are an effective, time efficient, and economical way
for children to learn an instrument. For music students, orchestra or group classes
of any kind cannot take the place of private lessons. On the other hand,
for violin students playing in a group or orchestra, private lessons are of great assistance.
