Anne-Marie Brown is a professional concert violinist with extensive experience and training in solo, chamber and orchestral performance. She is a member of the Kansas City Symphony (first violin section), which she joined in 2001.She is also co-principal second of the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra and concertmaster of the Starlight Theater Orchestra. In addition, she performs frequently as soloist and chamber musician throughout the Kansas City area. Recent solo performances include the Haydn Sinfonia Concertante (June 2009) and The Vivaldi Four Seasons (December 2009) with the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, as well as chamber music performances with Summerfest Concerts (July 2009).
Before moving to Kansas City, Anne-Marie was a member of the New World Symphony where she served as concertmaster under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas. As a member of New World, she performed chamber music throughout Europe and the United States, as well as performing as soloist with the orchestra , as a winner of it's concerto competition. She has also been a guest musician with the Atlanta Symphony.
Anne-Marie holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University as well as a Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music, where she was a student of Glenn Dicterow, Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic.
