I am currently a third year student at Luther College in Decorah, IA majoring in Music with primary emphasis on violin performance. I began studying violin at the age of 10. Since that time I have played in several orchestras such as Sioux Empire Youth Orchestras, Dakota Academy of Performing Arts, the Roosevelt High School Symphony and Chamber Orchestra's and currently the Luther College Symphony Orchestra. In high school, I served as the Assistant Concertmaster of the Roosevelt High School Symphony Orchestra. Currently, I serve as an Orchestra Manager in the Luther College Symphony Orchestra.

My personal philosphy on violin teaching it to adapt the way I teach to the needs of the student. I like to have a nice balance of etudes, scales and repetoire for the student. Additionally, I like to introduce rudimentary music theory and aural skills to the student.
