Hello, I teach violin/fiddle lessons in the Kentuckiana area. I teach a mixture of traditional method along with Suzuki for young children. I completed Suzuki Violin Teacher Training Book 1 in Summer 2008.
All students are taught classical technique, but I am more than happy to teach them music from other genres.
Students will be required to practice at least five days a week. This amount of time goes up as they progress. They also must have a notebook with them at every lesson for me to write notes in and what they are expected to work on for the following week.
Students will also have recital opportunities.
My students are encouraged to take part in Solo & Ensemble Contest, Floyd County Youth Symphony, IUS Summer String Clinic, and other opportunities.
